SOBA monthly meetings are open to the public.
OUTSIDE - 5:00pm Hive Check Light - SOBA Member, Tony Torresan will lead hive check on one of the club hives, weather permitting. Attendees to the hive check must bring protective gear, wear close-toed shoes, and gloves are optional. Tony will discuss late summer hive issues.
INSIDE - 5:00pm The building is open at 5:00PM and some attendees bring a meal to eat onsite, or bring potluck to share. This is an informal time to socialize and engage with experienced beekeepers.
The main meeting begins at 6:00pm with an ice breaker game led by Leslie Lundgren. At 6:30pm, Dr. Ramesh Sagili, from the OSU Bee Lab will speak on bee nutrition and varroa management.
